Executive - Custom Tariff Classification

About the role

The Executive – Custom Tariff Classification will ensure that Bosch products and technologies are correctly classified under national and international customs tariff schedules. This role supports compliance, facilitates smooth customs processes, and contributes to the company's global trade operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute product and technology classification according to customs tariff schedules.
• Collect and analyze technical product information, specifications and bills of materials to determine accurate tariff codes.
• Maintain and update a database of classified products with corresponding HS codes and documentation.
• Apply the General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI) of the Harmonized System to ensure consistent classification decisions.
• Research customs rulings, explanatory notes and legal precedents to resolve complex classification issues under supervision.
• Prepare documentation supporting classification decisions for internal reviews and customs audits.
• Collaborate with team members to process classification requests and align with established procedures.
• Document classification rationales and research findings for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, company policies and quality frameworks.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical or software engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in English, especially reading comprehension of international regulations and technical product descriptions.
• 1‑3 years of experience in international trade compliance or product engineering.
