Technical Officer, RCCE and Responses

About the role

The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project seeks a motivated Vietnamese professional to serve as Technical Officer for Risk Communication, Community Engagement (RCCE) and outbreak response. Based in Hanoi (or Ho Chi Minh City), you will support zoonotic and emerging infectious disease preparedness and response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for ZD/EID outbreak preparedness, focusing on evidence‑based public‑health messaging and community engagement.
• Coordinate rollout and oversight of RCCE and response activities with government counterparts and partners.
• Implement RCCE activities at Points of Entry, ensuring alignment with surveillance and response actors.
• Monitor daily progress, maintain work‑plan records, and report milestones to the Technical Advisor.
• Contribute to work‑plan development, technical inputs, and budget preparation.
• Ensure all RCCE products (strategies, tools, SOPs, materials) meet donor, national, and organizational standards.
• Prepare technical reports, briefs, presentations, and training materials for internal and external audiences.
• Analyze implementation data to identify gaps, lessons learned, and report findings.
• Facilitate collaboration and information sharing among project teams, technical units, and partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, preventive medicine, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience supporting public‑health outbreak preparedness, risk communication, or community engagement in global health security or infectious‑disease programs.
