Deputy Manager – Finance

About the role

The Deputy Manager – Finance will lead accounting and tax operations for BASF Vietnam, ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), IFRS, local tax regulations, FDI policies and BASF group requirements. The role serves as a key liaison with auditors, authorities and internal teams to maintain financial integrity and support audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and tax‑related activities, guaranteeing accurate recording of transactions and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with VAS, IFRS, local tax laws, and FDI regulations, and keep internal policies up to date.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, tax filings (VAT, CIT, FCT), Country‑by‑Country Reporting and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Lead statutory and tax audits, acting as the primary contact for auditors and tax authorities.
• Manage customer credit risk, receivables and treasury operations in line with BASF guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance and training to stakeholders on accounting, tax and treasury matters.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Significant experience in accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards, IFRS and local tax legislation.
• Proven ability to interact with auditors, tax authorities and internal business partners.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
