General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead daily operations across Sales, Logistics, Procurement and Technical teams for a leading construction materials supplier operating in Asia. This senior position ensures efficient workflow, drives revenue growth and upholds high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of Sales, Logistics, Procurement and Technical departments to meet business objectives.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to capture new business opportunities and increase revenue.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure product quality and on‑time delivery.
• Apply engineering expertise to review material specifications, ensure regulatory compliance and provide technical guidance.
• Identify and implement product and service improvements, introducing innovations and optimizing processes.
• Conduct technical and market research on local construction practices, materials and emerging technologies.
• Lead, mentor and develop operations and sales teams to enhance performance and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and local regulations, and prepare operational reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the country of operation.
• 5–8 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, sales or technical roles within construction or building‑materials industry.
• Strong understanding of local construction methodologies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in operational reporting tools.
