Area Development Program Development Facilitator

About the role

The Area Development Program Development Facilitator will lead community‑level planning, partnership building, and technical implementation for World Vision’s child‑focused development initiatives. This role works closely with local stakeholders, technical program officers, and community partners to ensure effective, sustainable interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate partnerships and networking among community groups, NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders to mobilize resources for child well‑being.
• Build capacity of local partners on development principles, technical models, and World Vision’s core values.
• Lead commune‑level planning activities, annual community reviews, and disaster preparedness planning.
• Collaborate with Technical Program Officers to ensure quality technical implementation and supervise community‑level activities.
• Integrate cross‑cutting themes such as Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion, and Disaster Risk Reduction into all project activities.
• Manage procurement, strategic sourcing, and financial compliance at the commune level.
• Support communities in shared monitoring, data collection, and reporting to the Area Programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community engagement, partnership facilitation, and capacity building.
• Strong understanding of local contexts, vulnerabilities, and development challenges.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder planning processes and ensure program sustainability.
• Knowledge of GEDSI, DRR‑RCC, and advocacy principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners.
