Senior Tax Specialist

About the role

The Senior Tax Specialist will lead the tax function for Verdant Energy in Vietnam, ensuring accurate compliance and providing strategic tax advice across the business. This role combines hands‑on tax filing with high‑level analysis of tax impacts on commercial contracts and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee statutory filing of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value‑Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT) and Stamp Duty.
• Review tax computations, monthly and annual reconciliations, and all supporting documentation.
• Provide tax advisory and impact analysis for business transactions, commercial contracts and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Lead or support special tax projects, including process improvements and compliance enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in taxation, covering both compliance and advisory work.
• Strong technical knowledge of tax regulations and proven ability to improve tax processes.
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous professional development.
