Special Project Manager – COAST Project

About the role

World Vision Vietnam is seeking a Special Project Manager to lead the COAST (Climate and Ocean Adaptation and Sustainable Transition) project. The role will oversee the implementation of two components focused on fisheries protection and climate‑resilient aquaculture across An Giang and Hai Phong.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the COAST project, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with donor and Vietnamese regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of World Vision staff and the IUCN subcontractor, fostering effective teamwork and clear communication.
• Manage partnerships with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to secure project buy‑in and support.
• Oversee grant administration, risk management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to meet donor requirements.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities for local partners and ensure knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing development or environmental projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Strong understanding of climate adaptation, marine ecosystems, and fisheries or aquaculture sectors.
• Excellent knowledge of Vietnamese regulatory frameworks and donor compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage external partners.
