Special Project Officer – COAST Project (Hai Phong)

About the role

World Vision Vietnam is seeking a dedicated Special Project Officer to lead the implementation of the COAST (Climate and Ocean Adaptation and Sustainable Transition) Project in Hai Phong. The role focuses on protecting fisheries resources, marine ecosystems, and building climate‑resilient aquaculture over a 30‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement project activities in Hai Phong, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
• Engage with government counterparts, local communities, IUCN and other stakeholders to align project actions with national policies.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and World Vision standards.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops and community outreach on sustainable fisheries and climate adaptation.
• Support budgeting, procurement, and financial tracking in line with project guidelines.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in environmental science, marine biology, development studies or a related field.
• Experience working on climate‑change, fisheries, or marine conservation projects, preferably in Vietnam.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with fluency in English and Vietnamese.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, faith‑based organization.
