Trade Compliance Manager (12-Month Contract)

About the role

Coherent Vietnam, part of the global technology leader Coherent Corp., is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager on a 12‑month contract. You will ensure that all import, export and customs activities comply with Vietnamese regulations and the company’s internal policies, supporting our semiconductor and photonics manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with Vietnamese customs and import/export regulations.
• Classify products using the HS system and manage customs valuation processes.
• Interpret and apply Free Trade Agreements and export control licensing requirements.
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions for trade activities.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, legal and engineering teams to embed compliance into daily operations.
• Liaise with customs authorities and external consultants as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in trade, customs or import‑export compliance within a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of Vietnamese customs regulations, import/export rules, HS classification, customs valuation, FTAs and export control licensing.
