Embedded Test Engineer Intern – HMI

About the role

Join Bosch Global Software Technologies as an Embedded Test Engineer Intern focused on Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) validation for automotive infotainment, digital cockpit and cluster systems. You will work on both manual and automated testing to ensure a high‑quality user experience that meets OEM requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse HMI requirements, UI specifications and system behaviours.
• Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases for HMI features.
• Validate functionality of infotainment, cluster, HVAC, navigation, media and ADAS visualisation.
• Perform system‑integration testing using CAN and Ethernet communication.
• Verify touch, hard‑key, steering‑wheel and voice‑interaction behaviours.
• Conduct regression, smoke, functional and performance testing.
• Simulate vehicle signals with CAN tools and assess HMI responses.
• Analyse logs, reproduce issues and assist root‑cause investigations.
• Report, track and verify defects using defect‑management tools.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a technical degree (e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science).
• Strong interest in automotive HMI and embedded systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CAN communication.
• Understanding of Ethernet protocols.
• Experience with manual testing.
• Familiarity with automated testing concepts.
• Basic HMI testing skills.
