Automotive AUTOSAR Base Software Developer (all levels)

About the role

Join Bosch's global ADAS teams to develop and integrate AUTOSAR Classic Basic Software (BSW) and diagnostics for next‑generation driver assistance ECUs such as radar, camera, and sensor‑fusion controllers. You will work in a cross‑domain engineering organization that builds reusable software assets for a range of vehicle computing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded AUTOSAR Classic BSW modules (Diagnostics, CAN communication, failure management, PDM) using C/C++.
• Configure, integrate and debug BSW components, ensuring seamless integration with ADAS applications.
• Participate in the full software lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit/integration testing, SIL/HIL and vehicle testing.
• Optimize performance and memory usage for resource‑constrained ECUs and conduct code reviews following Bosch coding guidelines and MISRA rules.
• Produce and maintain architecture, design and interface documentation for global stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–10 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive domain.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work in distributed global teams.
• Self‑driven, proactive attitude with a focus on quality and continuous learning.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with AUTOSAR Classic architecture and BSW development.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics (DEM, DCM) and communication stacks (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).
• Familiarity with ISO 14229, ISO 15765, ISO 14230, ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE processes.
• Use of tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Jira, DOORS, and debugging/emulation equipment.
• Understanding of microcontrollers, low‑level drivers and embedded RTOS concepts.
