Air Operations Associate

About the role

As an Air Operations Associate at Flexport, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and timely air freight movements for our customers. You will coordinate daily with airlines, trucking partners, terminals, and internal teams to keep shipments on track, supporting the Vietnam gateway.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end air shipments, including receiving bookings, contacting shipper/consignee and agents, creating files, completing MAWB and HAWB, and filing AMS or submitting EDI as required.
• Generate timely invoices for clients and agents, and verify incoming invoices from subcontractors.
• Provide customer service by following up on advice, requests, claims, and feedback, arranging shipments accordingly.
• Inform senior managers of any irregularities or problems and give feedback on subcontractor performance.
• Ensure all operational activities comply with international shipping regulations, company policies, and customer SOPs.
• Handle customer statistics, reports, and special requests to improve systems.
• Maintain data accuracy in Flexport systems to meet KPIs and uphold high‑quality information.
• Collaborate with account managers and customs teams to ensure smooth operations and a great customer experience.
• Identify and suggest process enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Support teammates and take on additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in air operations or related roles within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Fluent in Vietnamese with strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Detail‑oriented, structured, and eager to learn global supply chain operations.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs.
• Flexibility to work on weekends as required.
