Automotive Powertrain System Design Expert

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Automotive Powertrain System Design Expert to lead the design and development of complete powertrain solutions, including engine, transmission, electric drive, thermal management, and control systems. You will shape the technical strategy and architecture to meet performance, cost, quality, and timing targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop powertrain components such as engine, transmission, electric drive system, thermal management system, and vehicle control unit (VCU) calibration.
• Define architecture and technical solutions that satisfy functional, performance, cost, and quality objectives.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and technology trend analysis to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with product development schedules.
• Manage cost control and technical analysis throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in automotive powertrain system development.
• Experience with foreign automotive groups (e.g., China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia) is preferred.
• Age between 35 and 45 years and in good health.
