Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for securing Sky Mavis' cloud infrastructure and the processes that enable the engineering team to provision services powering Axie Infinity and Ronin products. The position is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, improve, and maintain cloud provisioning services using Terraform, and conduct internal and external security assessments to identify gaps and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure comprehensive logging of all resources, continuously monitor the environment, and leverage GenAI to automate scanning and reduce false‑positive alerts.
• Maintain and update a runbook for handling and escalating security incidents.
• Identify, evaluate, and adopt new security technologies and tooling to continuously enhance the security posture.
• Collaborate with engineering and growth teams to deliver secure product initiatives and drive positive security improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience, including designing, building, scaling, and maintaining backend services and infrastructure.
• Bias for action, strong learning drive, and ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering results and building trust across diverse teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise in cloud security.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform.
• Python scripting.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
