Deputy Project Director / Investment Lead

About the role

The Deputy Project Director / Investment Lead will steer Outcome 1200 of the AGILE project, focusing on increasing investment in gender‑responsive and inclusive climate enterprises in Vietnam. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the role reports to the Project Director and works closely with ecosystem partners to build a pipeline of investment‑ready enterprises and train investors on gender‑lens investing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor all activities linked to Outcome 1200, ensuring alignment with project objectives and donor requirements.
• Develop and manage pipelines of investment‑ready climate enterprises, with particular attention to women‑led businesses.
• Deliver training and capacity‑building programmes for investors on gender‑lens investing principles.
• Produce regular progress reports, data analyses and impact assessments for donors and senior management.
• Coordinate with other outcome leads, government agencies, NGOs and private sector partners to foster a supportive investment ecosystem.

Required profile

• Vietnamese national (nationals only).
• Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
• Proven experience in investment facilitation, gender‑responsive finance or climate‑focused enterprise development.
• Strong understanding of Vietnam’s business and investment landscape.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
