Embedded C++ Software Engineer – OTA & Software Update

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded C++ Software Engineer to design and implement over‑the‑air (OTA) software update frameworks for automotive ECUs and domain controllers. You will work on Linux, QNX and Android platforms, ensuring secure, reliable updates that meet automotive safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop OTA/flashing mechanisms and update client/agent software.
• Implement C++ components for package management, rollback, and state‑machine handling.
• Create and maintain build‑automation scripts (shell, Perl, Python) and test pipelines using Robot Framework.
• Ensure compliance with Adaptive AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
• Develop IPC communication between update agents and Android system services (Binder, AIDL, HIDL) and between orchestration and handlers (socket, SOME/IP, FDBUS).

Required profile

• Understanding of automotive ECU software lifecycle, flashing procedures and bootloader concepts (e.g., U‑Boot).
• Familiarity with A/B partition update strategies and software integrity verification (hashes, digital signatures).
• Experience designing state machines for update workflows.
• Proven C++ development experience on Linux platforms.
