Embedded Firmware Engineer – Real-time Linux/QNX

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join Bosch Global Software Technologies’ embedded‑software team in Ho Chi Minh City. You will design, develop and integrate real‑time applications on Linux and/or QNX, and build user‑space components for the MC‑Gateway platform.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain embedded applications on Linux using CMake for cross‑platform builds.
• Develop and integrate communication protocols such as XCP.
• Handle JSON‑based configuration and data exchange.
• Communicate directly with German stakeholders to align requirements.
• Develop POSIX inter‑process communication modules (named pipes, shared memory) when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related fields.
• 2–6 years of hands‑on experience in embedded application development on Linux.
• Strong experience with CMake and cross‑compilation environments.
• Experience implementing or integrating communication protocols, preferably XCP.
• Proficiency with JSON‑based configuration.
• Good English communication skills for interaction with international teams.
