Embedded SW Engineer – QNX (NEO SoC1)

About the role

Bosch’s Cross‑Domain Computing & ADAS team develops state‑of‑the‑art automotive head‑unit and home‑appliance Linux/Android based systems. As an Embedded SW Engineer you will work on QNX‑based platforms for infotainment, ADAS and driver‑monitoring applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain system services, libraries and resource managers for the QNX Neutrino RTOS, focusing on real‑time performance and stability.
• Contribute to bootloader development and adaptation (e.g., U‑Boot) and support board bring‑up using hardware debuggers.
• Integrate software components, debug system‑level issues and maintain CI/CD build and test pipelines.
• Analyze and optimise boot time and runtime resource usage to improve overall system performance.
• Collaborate with senior developers and architects, participating in technical discussions and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Motivated team player with strong accountability and a desire to learn.
• Analytical, goal‑oriented work style, able to solve technical challenges independently and within a team.
• 2‑5 years of professional experience in embedded C/C++ development for POSIX operating systems, preferably QNX.
• Very good English communication skills and a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Embedded C and C++ development for POSIX‑based systems (QNX Neutrino).
• Bootloader concepts and experience (e.g., U‑Boot).
• Board Support Package (BSP) development and integration.
• Low‑level hardware debugging (JTAG, hardware debuggers).
• Version control with Git and basic CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
• System performance analysis and optimisation.
• Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 (advantage).
