Head of Die Maintenance

About the role

The Head of Die Maintenance will lead the tooling team responsible for the design, fabrication, maintenance and continuous improvement of stamping dies used in automotive mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the tooling team for design, fabrication, maintenance and improvement of stamping dies.
• Oversee die design, development and validation to ensure compatibility with product requirements and high‑volume manufacturing.
• Ensure timely tooling readiness for new product introductions and smooth handover to production.
• Manage preventive and corrective die maintenance programs to maximize availability and minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for tooling processes and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve die‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in stamping tooling, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in stamping die design, structure and troubleshooting.
• Experience in automotive or metal‑stamping manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatment and machining processes.
• Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver projects on schedule.
