IELTS Examiner - Part-Time

About the role

The IELTS Examiner will conduct speaking assessments for IELTS candidates, ensuring that each assessment meets the rigorous IELTS standards for fairness, consistency and accuracy. This part‑time position contributes to the integrity of the exam by adhering to strict security and confidentiality protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct IELTS Speaking tests for candidates in a test centre environment.
• Record, evaluate and score candidate responses according to official IELTS criteria.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all test materials and candidate information.
• Prepare and submit detailed assessment reports.
• Participate in ongoing training, calibration and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Current or recent IELTS examiner (preferred).
• Undergraduate or Master’s degree.
• TEFL/TESOL certificate or equivalent EFL/ESOL qualification, or a degree in Education with an English language focus.
• Minimum three years full‑time TEFL/TESOL teaching experience, primarily with adults (16+).
• Ability to provide validated, original qualifications and transcripts.
• Availability for at least two half‑days per week.
