Kindergarten Teacher (AY2027-2028)

About the role

Australian International School (AIS) Saigon is looking for a Kindergarten teacher for the academic year 2027-2028. The school offers international education for day and boarding students in a multicultural environment, with a focus on academic achievement, sports, arts, technology and personal growth. The ideal candidate has strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students, and delivers the curriculum in line with Inspired Education Group's expectations and teaching standards.

Key responsibilities

• Teach all areas of the PYP in kindergarten, aligned with the Australian Early Years Learning Framework
• Build learning-focused relationships and help children become independent, self-regulated learners
• Plan, assess and give feedback using formative and summative tools, differentiating for EAL learners
• Create a nurturing, inquiry-based classroom that promotes self-esteem, resilience and citizenship
• Involve and report to parents on their children's learning
• Integrate ICT and collaborate with colleagues, the SENCO and the Deputy Principal
• Uphold the behaviour policy, safeguarding standards and professional conduct
• Join ECAs, camps, events and professional development, and carry out additional duties as directed

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Education
• Valid teaching qualification or licence relevant to Early Years/Kindergarten education
• At least 3 years of full-time Kindergarten/Early Years teaching experience, preferably in an international school
• Experience teaching in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is required

Required skills

• Strong understanding of play-based and inquiry-based learning
• Understanding of child development, assessment and differentiation
