Material Planning Supervisor – Manufacturing

About the role

The Material Planning Supervisor will lead the planning function to guarantee continuous material availability for production while minimizing inventory costs and enhancing supply‑chain efficiency. You will oversee planning systems, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and enforce disciplined planning processes to meet business and customer delivery goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a material planning team, setting performance targets and monitoring results.
• Manage MRP and ERP tools (e.g., SAP) to generate accurate production schedules and inventory plans.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics to synchronize supply and demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify excess or shortages, and implement optimization actions.
• Analyse demand forecasts, supplier capacities, and lead times to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in material, supply‑chain or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRP concepts, inventory control, and supplier coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
