Project Director – Combating Trafficking in Persons

About the role

World Vision Vietnam is seeking a senior Project Director to lead a U.S. Department of State-funded anti‑trafficking initiative. The role will guide a multi‑agency effort to strengthen Vietnam’s capacity to prevent, identify, protect, and respond to trafficking for forced criminality and emerging forms of exploitation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the donor‑funded anti‑trafficking project.
• Ensure achievement of project outcomes, compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and delivery of sustainable systems‑strengthening results.
• Coordinate closely with government institutions, civil society, the private sector, and international partners.
• Strengthen victim identification and referral systems, survivor protection and reintegration, criminal justice responses, and institutional coordination.
• Oversee project budgeting, reporting, and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, donor‑funded projects in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong understanding of anti‑trafficking frameworks, especially Vietnam’s 2024 Law on Prevention and Combat of Trafficking in Persons.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix reporting structure and lead multi‑stakeholder collaborations.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Vietnamese language proficiency is an advantage.
