Sales Executive - Exhibitions & Education Sector

About the role

dmg events is looking for a Sales Executive in Hanoi to discover and pursue new prospects, negotiate deals and grow business with existing customers. The role covers small, medium and high-profile accounts in the education value chain, including schools, education suppliers, EdTech companies and training providers, and is suited to someone who enjoys building a career in the exhibitions industry.

Key responsibilities

• Seek new opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media, and set up meetings with potential clients
• Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals on products and services
• Manage existing accounts and grow commercial cooperation
• Negotiate and close deals, and handle complaints or objections
• Achieve and exceed agreed show and personal revenue and profit targets
• Work with editorial and marketing as a team
• Attend events and liaise with exhibitors and sponsors on site to ensure contracts are fulfilled
• Stay up to date with industry trends and offer value propositions to clients

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in B2B sales
• Experience in the education ecosystem (schools, EdTech, education suppliers, training providers) is highly preferable but not essential
• Excellent telephone sales manner with consistently high call rates
• Serial networker and social media savvy
• Excellent verbal and written English; other languages are an advantage
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment

Required skills

• Technical experience with contract management, budget management and proposal writing
• Use of databases, preferably Salesforce, in mass and targeted sales campaigns
• Ability to cross-sell and up-sell
