Senior Civil Structural Engineer

About the role

The Senior Civil Structural Engineer will provide engineering design, analysis, and technical support for utility‑scale power projects, including substations, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy facilities. The role focuses on designing structural systems, foundations, and site layouts that satisfy technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural drawings and calculations for power infrastructure projects.
• Perform structural analysis using software such as STAAD Pro, RISA, or SAP2000.
• Prepare foundation and civil layout plans that comply with industry codes and standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs.
• Conduct quality‑control reviews and ensure compliance with ACI and other relevant codes.
• Support construction activities and provide on‑site technical assistance.
• Review and sign off drawings as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience in the power or utility sector.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license enabling drawing sign‑off.
• Proven experience with substations, transmission lines, renewable energy facilities, or similar industrial projects.
