Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

EPOS Vietnam, the technical hub of EPOS Singapore (backed by Ant International), is looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join its engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable Java backend services, improving team productivity with AI tools and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clean, scalable and reliable Java backend services
• Optimise system performance, reliability and development workflows
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and use AI tools and automation to improve team productivity
• Define and promote AI usage standards and best practices, including validation of AI-generated code
• Build reusable AI playbooks, templates and toolkits
• Write unit tests and take part in code reviews
• Design and deliver new features with engineers and cross-functional teams
• Help evolve the microservices architecture
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or a related field
• At least 6 years of experience in Java backend and Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, JUnit)
• Experience with AI-assisted development, workflow automation or AI tools is a must
• Good or fluent English is mandatory

Required skills

• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based application development
• Relational databases, SQL and ORM
• OOP, data structures, design patterns, concurrency and problem-solving
• SDLC and software engineering best practices
