Senior SMT Process Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SMT Process Engineer to lead the development and optimisation of our surface‑mount technology (SMT) lines. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality, efficient production of PCBA and Flex PCBA for our electronic components.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, integrating quality considerations into SMT processes from the design stage.
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility analyses.
• Set up and programme SMT machines, optimise line configurations, and manage process parameters.
• Support lead‑free and fine‑pitch/BGA assembly processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with SMT machine programming, line setup and process management.
• Proven experience with lead‑free and fine‑pitch/BGA assembly for PCBA and Flex PCBA.
• Strong knowledge of solder paste handling, pick‑and‑place, reflow soldering, SPI, AOI and UV‑laser inspection.
