Tax & General Accountant

About the role

Aurora International School of the Arts, a Reggio Emilia‑inspired international school in Thảo Điền, Ho Chi Minh City, is seeking a Tax Accountant cum General Accountant. The role supports the school’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations while handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT, corporate income tax (CIT), personal income tax (PIT) and foreign contractor tax returns.
• Maintain general ledger, produce monthly financial statements and support year‑end closing.
• Manage e‑invoicing processes and ensure adherence to the Law on Tax Administration.
• Perform bank reconciliations, payroll accounting and expense tracking.
• Utilise accounting software for journal entries, reporting and audit preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a tax or general accountant, with independent preparation of financial statements and tax finalisations for at least two reporting periods.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese tax law, including VAT, CIT, PIT, foreign contractor tax and e‑invoicing rules.
• Proficiency in general accounting principles and financial reporting.
