Technical BID / Proposal Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Technical BID / Proposal Engineer to join our marine engineering team. The role focuses on preparing and managing technical proposals for bids in the offshore and shipbuilding sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Review ITB/RFQ documents, technical specifications, scope of supply and applicable SOLAS, MED and classification society requirements.
• Develop compliance matrices, identify technical risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, recommend suitable equipment, models and authorized manufacturers, and verify part numbers and specifications.
• Respond to Technical Bid Clarifications (TBC) and coordinate technical discussions with internal teams and customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Marine, Safety, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in technical bidding, proposal preparation, tendering or technical sales.
• Experience in marine, offshore, oil & gas or shipbuilding environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of SOLAS, MED and classification society rules (DNV, ABS, LR, BV, NK).
