Welding Engineer

About the role

The Welding Engineer will design, implement, and optimise welding processes to guarantee structural integrity, product quality, and compliance with international standards. You will work closely with production teams to select appropriate welding techniques, develop procedures, and resolve manufacturing defects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve welding methods for various applications.
• Create and maintain welding procedures and documentation.
• Troubleshoot welding‑related defects and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T and welding symbols on engineering drawings.
• Manage qualification and training of welding personnel.
• Collaborate with design and production engineers to support product development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) or International Welding Engineer (IWE) preferred; Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) a strong plus.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial manufacturing, automotive, or heavy‑fabrication environments.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and welding symbols.
