Application Project Component Manager – Calibration

About the role

The Application Project Component Manager (Calibration) will lead the calibration of airbag algorithms and ensure vehicle integration meets customer specifications and regulatory requirements. You will work within Bosch's Occupant Safety Systems team, collaborating with hardware, software and testing groups to deliver safe, reliable airbag solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and validate customer specifications and timing for algorithm, calibration and vehicle integration work packages.
• Manage requirements from analysis through acceptance.
• Process crash sensor data from laboratory tests into the crash database for simulation.
• Calibrate algorithm parameters to achieve deployment performance that satisfies CN‑NCAP, EU‑NCAP, ASEAN‑NCAP and other regulations using Bosch internal tools.
• Ensure compliance with development processes and quality standards.
• Support project estimations, plan resources and control costs within budget.
• Report calibration results to customers and coordinate with regional stakeholders in China and Japan.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in the automotive industry.
• Basic knowledge of algorithm or software development.
• Strong understanding of physics and vehicle dynamics.
• Good management abilities in change, configuration, project and requirements management.
• Effective time‑management, logical thinking and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English for internal and external communication; Japanese or Chinese is a plus.
