Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarder)

About the role

DSV is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its freight forwarding business in Vietnam. The role focuses on winning new accounts, retaining existing customers, and expanding the company's market share across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and acquire new country accounts in line with the sales budget.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and upsell opportunities.
• Execute the full sales process, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as operations, pricing, product development, finance and senior management to deliver tailored solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to refine the sales strategy.

Required profile

• Proven ability to execute a structured sales process and achieve targets.
• Strong self‑management skills, including planning, organizing and goal setting.
• Leadership qualities to influence stakeholders and drive business results.
• Multilingual proficiency is a plus, especially in English and Vietnamese.
