About the role

The Chief Representative Officer will lead MBBank’s representative office in Guangzhou, China, acting as the primary liaison between the bank and local stakeholders. This senior position is responsible for building the bank’s brand, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving market entry initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Represent MBBank in all external engagements, including trade promotion, investment events, and client meetings in China.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive brand and corporate image strategy for the Chinese market.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with local financial institutions, corporations, and government agencies.
• Conduct market intelligence and research to inform business development and operational decisions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Guangzhou office, ensuring compliance with both Vietnamese and Chinese regulations.
• Report regularly to senior management in Hanoi on performance metrics, risks, and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Banking, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in international banking, corporate representation, or related senior roles.
• Fluent English (TOEIC ≥ 700) and proficient Mandarin (HSK 6 preferred).
• Proven track record in partnership development and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with market research.
