Climate Finance and Stakeholder Engagement Analyst

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Climate Finance and Stakeholder Engagement Analyst on a 6‑month consultancy basis. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the analyst will support UNEP’s Climate Finance Unit in advancing nature‑based solutions for agriculture in Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Submit an inception workplan outlining activities, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement priorities.
• Provide regular progress updates to UNEP Climate Finance Unit on implementation status, risks, delays, and emerging opportunities.
• Maintain updated trackers for financial institutions, partner companies, stakeholder engagements, and matchmaking opportunities.
• Document meetings, workshops, investment fairs, and consultations, capturing participants, findings, and follow‑up actions.
• Prepare draft and final deliverables, including financial institution needs assessment, market analysis, stakeholder mapping, and policy brief/white paper.
• Track progress against agreed outputs such as institutions assessed, companies mapped, partnerships developed, events organised, and matchmaking facilitated.

Required profile

• Experience in climate finance, environmental projects, or related fields.
• Familiarity with stakeholder engagement and public‑private partnership processes.
• Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and produce high‑quality written outputs.
