Customer Interface Engineer (Japanese Speaking)

About the role

Bosch's Automotive R&D Center in Ho Chi Minh City is looking for a Customer Interface Engineer who speaks Japanese. The role acts as the bridge between the customer and the internal engineering team, managing customer requirements, providing technical support and keeping projects on track.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document customer technical requirements and preferences, and turn implicit customer needs into technical specifications for the internal engineering team.
• Negotiate with the customer to balance customer needs with internal capability, and manage the results of these negotiations.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for the customer, answering inquiries, handling quality issues and guiding customers.
• Translate customer needs into technically feasible solutions and manage customer requests and work packages so they are completed on time and within scope.
• Monitor project progress and report updates to internal stakeholders and customers, while maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
• Ensure that products and solutions delivered meet customer requirements and expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a similar field.
• Experience with project and engineering change processes in the automotive environment.
• Good understanding of automotive technology, including e/wire harness experience or knowledge.
• Native or fluent Japanese and advanced English for customer and global team communication.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, independence, good presentation and negotiation skills, and willingness to collaborate in a global team.
