Design Engineer

About the role

As a Design Engineer at Hochiki, you will support partners by providing initial design concepts and detailed reviews. You will work closely with Business Development and Sales teams to translate customer needs into compliant fire protection solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development and Sales to handle design and review requests from customers and partners.
• Support fire alarm and fire suppression design requests or design reviews.
• Create new AutoCAD drawings or modify existing ones to meet project specifications.
• Convert single‑line diagrams from competitor brands to Hochiki systems when required.
• Provide additional design support for water‑cannon, fire‑suppression, and air‑sampling systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field.
• TCVN certification and at least 2‑3 years experience working with TCVN codes.
• Fluent English for communication with regional colleagues.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Experience in the fire detection industry and familiarity with NFPA standards (101, 72, 2001, 2010) is an advantage.
• Fire Prevention & Fighting certificate from Vietnam Fire Police Department is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards.
• Understanding of TCVN fire protection codes.
