Executive - Custom Tariff Classification

About the role

The Executive – Custom Tariff Classification will support Bosch Group’s global trade compliance by classifying products and technologies according to national and international customs tariff schedules. You will work closely with engineering and compliance teams to ensure accurate HS code assignment for a wide range of technical items.

Key responsibilities

• Execute product classification using the Harmonized System (HS) and maintain an up‑to‑date database of classified items.
• Collect and analyse technical specifications, bills of materials and engineering documentation to determine correct tariff codes.
• Apply the General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI) of the HS to produce defensible classification decisions.
• Research customs rulings, explanatory notes and legal precedents to resolve complex classification issues under supervision.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal reviews and customs audits.
• Collaborate with team members to process classification requests and ensure alignment with established procedures.
• Document classification rationales and research findings to enrich the team’s knowledge base.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, software, etc.).
• 1‑3 years of experience in international trade compliance or product engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in English, especially reading comprehension of technical and regulatory documents.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
