High-Performance SoC BSP Integration Expert (POSIX kernel & drivers)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Expert to lead the integration, development and optimisation of critical software drivers for high‑performance System‑on‑Chip (SoC) platforms. The role focuses on POSIX‑based operating systems such as QNX and Linux, ensuring robust kernel modules and driver support for embedded applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and port advanced software modules and drivers for POSIX operating systems (e.g., QNX).
• Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules and device drivers.
• Port existing Linux drivers (kernel and user‑space) to target Linux distributions.
• Build and maintain multi‑layer Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for embedded software.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on ARM Cortex‑A based SoCs, bootloaders and high‑speed interfaces such as PCIe.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in embedded software, BSP, kernel and driver development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, global team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Deep knowledge of ARM Cortex‑A processors, U‑Boot bootloader, and Linux kernel development.
• Experience with POSIX‑compliant OSes, especially QNX.
• Expertise in Linux device driver development and porting.
• Familiarity with high‑performance SoC architectures, memory hierarchies and PCIe.
• Use of debugging tools such as GDB and Lauterbach.
• Version‑control systems (e.g., Git) and CI tools.
