HSE&S Manager

About the role

The HSE&S Manager will lead the implementation of AkzoNobel Vietnam's Health, Safety, Environment and Social responsibility policies. Reporting to senior management, the role focuses on building a strong safety culture, managing operational hazards, and ensuring continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Guide line management to deliver HSE&S policy and embed a proactive safety culture.
• Act as a change agent for continuous improvement and serve as a role model for compliance.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all HSE&S systems, standards and site requirements.
• Leverage HSE&S expertise to identify, assess and mitigate risks.
• Oversee incident investigation, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required profile

• University graduate with a major or solid knowledge in Safety, Environment or Social Accountability.
• Minimum 12 years of HSE experience, including at least 4 years in a similar senior position within a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing and familiarity with ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000 or SA 8000 is preferred.
