Hydraulic Engineer – Vietnamese Required

About the role

Commissioning hydraulic systems for towing winches and specific deck equipment on board ships, ensuring they meet client specifications and operate safely.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify correct installation of hydraulic piping and components according to system diagrams.
• Set up and operate pressure devices such as valves and pumps, and analyse hydraulic system performance on board.
• Participate in sea trials to make final adjustments to towing winches and other deck equipment.
• Prepare timely commissioning reports and present findings to class societies or clients.
• Support other workshops (e.g., piping, QC) with hydraulic piping installation and system flushing.
• Follow maintenance plans for stock vessels, resolve on‑board issues, and report to the team leader.

Required profile

• University technical background with knowledge of piping systems, hydraulic hoses and tubing.
• Good English communication skills.
• Experience in vessel commissioning or hydraulic systems on ships.
• Sailing experience or operation of deck equipment is a plus.
