Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Join Aurecon as an Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, driving the design and delivery of complex industrial projects in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from concept to construction and final review, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial design through construction and final review.
• Collaborate with local and regional design disciplines to ensure overall design integrity.
• Manage project components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance, and client feedback.
• Assist in workload management and resource forecasting.
• Review and ensure compliance of drawings, reports, specifications, and surveys.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships and identify business opportunities.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering.
• 3+ years experience in low‑voltage electrical design for industrial facilities.
• Experience with HV/MV systems, switchboard design, and instrumentation design is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work under high pressure.

• AutoCAD
• MicroStation
• Microsoft Word and Excel
• AGI32 and Dialux
• Low‑voltage system design (MCC, cable schedules, schematics, single‑line diagrams)
• Lighting system design for industrial facilities
• HV/MV system and switchboard design (preferred)
• Instrumentation design, including I/O lists, loop wiring diagrams, and PLC schematics (preferred)
• Understanding of Vietnamese and international design standards; knowledge of Australian standards is advantageous.
