Junior Engineering Developer

About the role

Akselos is seeking a Junior Engineering Developer to create and maintain software tools that streamline engineering workflows for structural performance management. The role bridges traditional engineering disciplines with software development, focusing on pre‑ and post‑processing steps of finite element simulations.

Key responsibilities

• Read and apply industrial standard guidelines (e.g., API579, ASME) to structural simulation processes using the Finite Element method.
• Configure and run finite element simulations, analyse displacement and stress results, and support software feature development.
• Develop and maintain computational software features, write automated tests, and document code and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure functionality and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities and effective communication in English.

Required skills

• Finite Element Method and experience with industrial FE software or specialized FEA tools.
• Python programming for workflow automation.
• Version control using GitHub.
