Junior Utility Engineer

About the role

The Junior Utility Engineer will support safe, efficient and reliable operation of the factory’s industrial services systems, ensuring utilities meet production needs while complying with Nestlé standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operation of boilers, compressed air, gas systems, blowers, biomass handling and related infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental and HSE requirements.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues and drive reliability improvements.
• Monitor performance indicators such as utility consumption, equipment reliability and maintenance compliance.
• Support Asset & Maintenance Management (AMM) and TPM practices, maintaining accurate asset records in SAP PM.
• Contribute to maintenance budgeting, cost control and expenditure monitoring.
• Participate in engineering projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance utility performance and sustainability.
• Identify opportunities to optimise energy and water use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Thermal/Refrigeration, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2‑3 years experience in industrial services, utilities, maintenance engineering or similar roles within FMCG or large‑scale manufacturing.
• Experience with boiler, compressed air, gas or water‑treatment systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, reliability improvement and asset management.
• Familiarity with TPM, AMM principles and SAP PM is preferred.
• Good understanding of manufacturing, food safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient English communication skills.
