Lead Structural Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to drive high‑quality structural design on international projects from our Ho Chi Minh City office. You will mentor junior engineers, champion digital innovation, and ensure compliance with global codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out structural design and analysis for complex, multinational projects.
• Lead and coach junior engineers and drafters to deliver high‑quality outputs.
• Produce detailed calculations, drawings, and design documentation using industry‑standard software.
• Interpret and apply international codes, standards, and project‑specific requirements.
• Collaborate regularly with engineers in overseas offices.
• Drive innovative and digital design solutions, including automation initiatives.
• Adhere to Aurecon’s design processes, rules, and specialist standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer licence preferred (not mandatory).
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong discipline, modern working style, and ability to work under pressure and overtime when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software: ETABS, SAFE, RAPT, PLAXIS, SAP 2000, CAD, REVIT.
• Solid understanding of international construction law, design standards, and codes.
• Competent use of standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
