Mechanical Engineer – Vietnamese Only

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is fluent in Vietnamese to join the engineering team at Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Hai Phong. The role involves creating detailed engineering packages for new and standard vessels, ensuring compliance with class, governmental regulations and Damen standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models of piping systems, equipment and related items.
• Produce production information drawings, ISO & spool drawings, combination and AXO view drawings.
• Generate penetration drawings, material reports and perform calculations where required.
• Estimate weight and calculate material take‑off (MTO) under guidance.

Required profile

• Higher education technical qualification in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of engineering experience, preferably in shipbuilding.
• Good written and verbal English skills.

Required skills

• 3D modelling of piping and equipment.
• Creation of ISO & spool and other production drawings.
• Weight estimation and material take‑off calculations.
