Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer - Edge AI Platform

About the role

GEM Corp is looking for a DevOps Engineer to set up and maintain a reliable operational foundation for its Edge AI platform. The role is based in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and involves build and deployment automation, release and quality processes, and close collaboration with the Embedded team.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain build and deployment automation.
• Manage and maintain configuration and release processes.
• Set up quality verification processes and the operational practices needed to support the platform permanently.
• Develop, document and maintain the related operational deliverables.
• Work closely with the Embedded team on build, deployment and operational activities.
• Support the handover of processes, automation and deliverables to the client.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on GitLab CI experience in a self-managed GitLab Ultimate environment.
• Experience with self-managed GitLab runners, including executor selection, runner tagging and concurrency control.
• Ability to design cache and artifact strategies for large builds, and to build parent-child pipelines and DAGs.
• Experience enforcing policy with protected branches/tags, CODEOWNERS and approval rules.
• Advanced Git operations, including protected branches, tags, rebase, submodules and monorepo/LFS.
• Ability to analyse failures, read logs and write operational runbooks and root cause analyses.

Required skills

• Docker and Kubernetes operations.
• Linux, Bash and Python scripting.
• Artifact repository operations.
• Preferred: embedded and firmware build automation (Yocto/OpenEmbedded, Buildroot, cross toolchains), KAS or repo manifests, reproducible builds, GitLab Compliance framework, SBOM tools, OTA updates, A/B partitions, device provisioning, and configuration management baselines and audits.
