Onsite Clinical Psychologist / Counsellor (Ho Chi Minh City)

About the role

Intellect is looking for a Clinical Psychologist / Counsellor to work as a freelance provider in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The role supports clients' mental health and personal growth through virtual sessions and occasional onsite visits at the client's office. Candidates must be comfortable and available to deliver onsite sessions when required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 mental health support through onsite and/or virtual sessions for Intellect clients.
• Deliver ad-hoc onsite support at the client's office, including group sessions, psychoeducation workshops, webinars and other wellbeing initiatives.
• Provide virtual and onsite critical incident support as required.
• Collaborate with Intellect to improve client care and programs.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in line with professional and legal standards.
• Uphold high standards of clinical ethics, confidentiality and professional care.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology or Clinical Psychology, with at least 500 supervised clinical hours after qualification (excluding academic placements) and at least 3 years of post-qualification practice.
• Valid and active license for the country of practice.
• Proficiency in English and Vietnamese.
• Prior experience in EAP, therapy/counselling or as an in-house wellbeing provider is a plus.

Required skills

• Trauma-informed approaches such as TF-CBT, EMDR, DBT for trauma survivors and/or Somatic Experiencing.
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, SFBT.
• Experience managing moderate to high complexity cases.
