Sea Freight Supervisor

About the role

The Sea Freight Supervisor will lead the daily sea freight export operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and on schedule. This role combines operational oversight with pricing and rate management, supporting both the team and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily sea freight export operations to guarantee smooth and timely shipment handling.
• Manage pricing activities, including rate sourcing and quotation support.
• Maintain accurate updates in operational systems and promote effective system usage.
• Assist staff in resolving daily operational issues and escalations.
• Support the Manager with team supervision, workload allocation, KPI monitoring, and staff coaching.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless export processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sea freight forwarding, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or equivalent position.
• Strong background in both pricing and export operations.
• Good knowledge of forwarding/operational systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and team support abilities.
• Leadership potential and experience guiding staff is preferred.
• Proficient command of English.
