Senior IT Technician

About the role

The Senior IT Technician will manage the school’s entire IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network, server, and workstation operations for staff and students. This role involves planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of hardware, software, and backup solutions within an educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the school network, servers, workstations, and AV equipment, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and monitor backup procedures, disaster recovery plans, and data security measures.
• Manage software licences, hardware warranties, service contracts, and equipment inventory.
• Organise and label cabling and technical rooms, ensuring tidy and safe environments.
• Prepare IT budgets, track expenditures, and report on network performance and internet bandwidth.
• Provide user training and support, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s IT policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in desktop, laptop, Apple device support and help‑desk environments.
• Fluency in Vietnamese and English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional IT managers and facilities teams.

Required skills

• Windows Server and Windows 10/11 administration.
• Networking knowledge (CCNA, routing, switching).
• Microsoft 365 administration and Azure fundamentals.
• VMware virtualization.
• ITIL framework understanding.
• Experience with Apple hardware and software.
