Senior Market Development Officer

About the role

The Senior Market Development Officer will drive market demand across distribution channels and retail partners for Syngenta’s agricultural solutions in Vietnam. Working closely with the National Sales Director, the role focuses on creating customer satisfaction, loyalty, and expanding the company’s market reach.

Key responsibilities

• Generate market demand in distribution channels and retail outlets by delivering solutions that meet customer needs.
• Support and execute sales, marketing, and promotional activities in partnership with the National Sales Director to achieve agreed annual sales targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers at all levels to ensure long‑term business partnerships.
• Optimize field activities to balance revenue and cost while delivering effective on‑site programs.
• Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to launch new products and applications successfully.
• Conduct field activities that reinforce Syngenta’s market‑leading position.
• Monitor market dynamics, forecast trends, and identify business opportunities faster than competitors.
• Ensure all sales actions comply with ethical standards, company policies, and health‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of sales and marketing combined with a solid technical background in plant science, seed business, and plant protection.
• Deep understanding of channel partners, major customers, and competitive landscape.
• Proven experience in sales, sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Demonstrated ability to create customer demand and enhance brand awareness.
